Riley Kent aged 19 is based in the Guanaba Valley on the Gold Coast in QLD has been a CountyAmbassador for 7 years.
Excelling in the discipline of Showing, Riley has produced Horse of The Year, Royal, and National Champions since a very young age.
With a keen eye for detail Riley has tried and tested the perfect Perfection on ponies, Galloways and hacks due to the custom ability of County Saddles to suit all shapes and sizes.
More recently the “Epiphany” is his new seat on his very own warmblood ‘Wanted DD’. The Epiphany is a work of art and giving him greater connection with his horse.
Riley competed at the EA Show Horse Nationals held at Werribee in December 2017, an international event at its finest, and was awarded Champion Small Hunter Galloway on Saravale Focused and of course riding in a County.
The 2018 showing calendar started at Canberra Royal Show with Riley claiming the Gent Rider Championships on Wanted DD. The successful combination went on to compete at the 2018 SHC Grand Nationals held at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre in Sydney in March, one of the pinnacle Shows on his Calendar. With over 500 competitors travelling from Australia wide and a New Zealand Team represented, Grand Nationals is an International event with the best quality of horses and riders the country has to offer.
Riley stepped into the ring with 30 other competitors on Wanted DD – The final 10 complete 3 components, a workout, a led phase and the UK Judge rides each and everyone of the finalists.
The final result was a prestigious win with Champion Small Hunter Hack.
Riley competed at the Northern NSW Hack Championships in May 2018 held at Lismore and took home the Champion Rider 17 & under 21 competing in his new ‘Epiphany’.
Along with showing Riley is also training PSG Dressage with Wanted DD and is excited on commencing his Professional Dressage career this year with the continued support of County Aus.
